Tristan Owen takes the reins at St Clair

Former Football South Australia (FSA) Venues Manager, Tristan Owen, has stepped into the into the role of Centre Manager at St Clair Recreation Centre, and plans to continue growing participation at the City of Charles Sturt’s showcase stadium facility.

Tristan comes to the Y after almost 10 years with FSA where he oversaw management of six football (soccer) facilities across South Australia.

He has extensive experience in stakeholder engagement, event management, food and beverage delivery along with capital and reactive maintenance processes. While aware that the St Clair centre already has high community engagement, Tristan said there was plenty of scope for growth.

“It’s very exciting to get the opportunity to work with the YMCA to manage the biggest indoor facility of its kind in South Australia and I believe the potential to grow is great,” he said.

“I want to continue the positive community work already in place and can see opportunities to grow social and school programs, the utilisation of function spaces and gym memberships through user groups.”

Tristan is a City of Charles Sturt local, living only minutes away from the centre with his wife Tess and 1-year old daughter Harper.
