School Sport at St Clair takes out YMCA’s program of the year. 

St Clair Recreation Centre’s school sport program has taken out YMCA South Australia’s program of the year at the 2023 Awards for Excellence.

St Clair runs the largest single stadium school sports program in South Australia, and over the last year the program has increased from 174 teams to 201. The program involves 45 different public and private schools across the Adelaide metropolitan area, who compete in 19 different competitions. Sports include basketball, netball, and volleyball, and students from reception through to year 6 take part.

St Clair has opened up opportunities for young people in South Australia to take part in sport to keep active and improve their wellbeing, and the school sports program will only continue to develop into the future.
